Address: 40 Masthead Way, Hope Island QLD 4212, Australia From the moment we walked in, the setting was stylish yet relaxed, with gorgeous waterside views and an atmosphere perfect for a leisurely lunch. The team here truly makes you feel welcome - and we loved every minute of our experience. Our waitress Jade delivered exceptional service - polite, welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. Her warm attention really completed our afternoon and made us feel truly looked after. Food & Drinks Highlights We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Pinot Gris and shared a few standout dishes: • Tuna Tartare - fresh and beautifully balanced • Hiramasa Kingfish Sashimi - delicate and delicious • Salt & Pepper Calamari with Truffle Mayo - crispy and flavour-packed • Wok-tossed Greens with Shiitake Mushrooms - vibrant, with crispy garlic & sesame oil Everything was sensational - fresh, vibrant, and perfectly suited to a long lunch catch-up with friends. Why I Loved It Tara is a perfect lunch destination - whether you’re catching up with a friend, celebrating something special, or just indulging in great food and service. After lunch we even did a bit of retail therapy nearby and enjoyed a stroll down to the seafood trawlers where we met Dave the fisherman - happy days indeed! "5 Star Mouth Party! My best friend and I went here for some food therapy and a catch up, we were so impressed and we are usually pretty fussy about what we put in our mouth. The kingfish sashimi was some of the best that we have had. The betel leaf scallops and tuna tartare were absolute flavour explosions, couldn't ask for tastier morsels. We paired it with a whiskey sour cocktail and a New Zealand Sav - honestly could not have asked for a better lunch. The staff are so delicately respectful and conduct themselves beautifully. We will absolutely make this a regular spot. So much love for this beautiful restaurant."

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, but still felt special enough for a birthday celebration. The food was really good – fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals and kept saying how tasty everything was. The portions were great too. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. They helped us with the cake and made the whole night run smoothly, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience and a perfect place for a birthday dinner. We would definitely come back again"
